If you like faded edges on the word art, here is a little walkthrough on how you can try to make your own!
the easiest way i know to fade the edges of text is - using either a gausian blur on a shape, a soft brush, or a gradiant.
start by getting your text on the page, do more text than your desired end result, since you will be covering some up
then lets use a shape to fade it as our first method. Say you wanted to do a heart. On the layer above your text, use the custom shape tool, to make a heart. now go to filter> blur> gaussian blur, to blur the edges as much or as little as you want your fade to be. now select that heart ( it will look like the blured part isnt selected, but it is. Now with the layer with the text selected in you layers palate, and ants marching around you blurred heart, hit " apply layer mask " that button in photoshop is where the red dot is on this example
Hide your shape layer, and if you need to show or hide more you could use a brush on the mask layer - make sure you have the mask selected, not the rest of the layer - paining black will HIDE , painting white will SHOW. You could also do this with a soft brush to freeform fade things like text
Now the other way you could do this is with a gradiant
Use the same steps as above of putting the text on the page and then select the mask. go to your gradiants button and you want to choose a black/transparent or black white gradiant - either one. and for a circle set it to radiant/reverse
then draw your gradiant on the mask layer. i started my gradiant at the center, and drew the line just to the edge of the text.
i wanted to show a little more of the text as non faded, so i cleaned it up using a soft round brush painted on the mask layer by just painting white where i wanted to show more
I hope this tutorial was helpful to you, and that most importantly - you have fun trying it out!
